Trilogy skincare – my new found love

I cannot even describe how good I feel when I discover for myself new exciting beauty products that make my skin feel happy. Trilogy skincare is exactly this case. I have heard about this natural skin care brand from New Zealand quite a while ago, but for some reason did not feel like trying it. Couple of weeks ago I came across their Rosehip Collection set and decided to give it a go. Just a note of wisdom: buying the sets of miniature products  is great idea to test new brands. Firstly you can try the whole line usually for the price of one product. There are also high chances that you will like at least one product and if you don’t like some you won’t be stuck with the whole bottle of the product. So that’s what I did and got myself a Trilogy Skincare set. There are four products in the box: Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+, Vital Moisturising Cream, Cream Cleanser and Hydrating Mist Toner.

I wanted to try Rosehip Oil as everybody talks so much about this oil nowadays. Apparently Rosehip oil has got regenerative properties that can reduce the appearance of scars. And as I am active acne sufferer, face scaring is a topic that is too close to my heart. I have been using Trilogy Rosehip Oil from this set around 3-4 times per week usually as an overnight treatment and I can definitely see that the scaring and dark spots are fading. I have also noticed that it helps to reduce the inflammation and speed up the healing of blemishes.  Here I will repeat myself again and say that people (like myself) with oily skin types should NOT be steering away from oils. They will not make your face oily if you use a little bit. You only need to apply 2-3 drops for the whole face and I would rather skip moisturiser afterwards. This particular oil is absorbed really fast by skin so I would recommend it for all skin types especially acne prone and mature skin types that need a little bit more regenerative power!
Now to the next one…Vital Moisturising Cream. As you might have already heard I am not that much into creams so I gave to my mum to try out. She says that it makes skin feel very smooth and applies really well without leaving any greasy shine or feeling. Plus it smells divine!

For me, the absolute 2 stars of the set are Cream Cleanser and Hydrating Toner Mist. I am going to repurchase these two for sure. First about Cream Cleanser. It is really everything what you can ask from excellent cleanser. It has non foaming creamy texture and removes all make-up easily even mascara without burning the eyes. It makes skin feel silky soft, but it does leave a bit of residue so for combination/oily skin it is good idea to remove it with a face sponge or cloth. And two most important points it does not make me break out and smells really good!

And the last product is Hydrating Toner Mist…this is my true love story…I never usually use toner. I know that it’s a good idea to use one, but the only thing that my collection of toners does is collecting dust. All this has changed with this “super” toner from Trilogy Skincare. It is a spray toner, once I spray it on the face and leave it to dry, my face feels so refreshed and bright! I cannot even say that I just applied anything on…the skin looks very pure and balanced. And all the following products just sink into the skin perfectly. I have already ran out of this toner and I am craving for the new bottle that I plan to get next week!

Oh, and the last crucial bit, this toner smells with rosehip blooms….one of the favourite scents of my childhood, maybe that’s why I am so hooked on it after all!
