Vegan Banana Blackberry Smoothie Recipe

Vegan Banana Blackberry Smoothie

Just a quick recipe of my new favourite drink – vegan banana blackberry smoothie. Recently I’ve been on the juicing side and I kind of gave up on smoothies. But I really wanted to add blackberries to my diet for their nutritional benefits as they are in season now, plus they are packed with anti-oxidants and have one of the lowest sugar levels among berries and fruits. I am not very big fan of blackberries, so the obvious solution is to add them to smoothie. I made this vegan banana blackberry smoothie for quite a few times this summer and I love it! It’s great option for breakfast and it’s so so delicious. And it’s like super easy to make and requires a minimum number of ingredients!

Ingredients for 2 servings (roughly 500ml)

– 300 ml almond milk (or any other non-dairy milks you like)

– 1/2 cup of ripe blackberries

– 1 ripe banana

– 1 tbsp maple syrup (you can try honey, but I find that maple syrup is better for smoothies)

And blend it for few minutes as blackberries require some time to be blended properly. For extra nutritional benefits, sprinkle with half a tea-spoon of chia seeds.

Enjoy this banana blackberry smoothie fresh as part of your breakfast or any time you like!
