What is it like to have a successful Feng Shui business? We’re bringing you a new series of blog posts where we interview past Feng Shui Master Certification students about their Feng Shui business and why they chose to become a Feng Shui consultant.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. I was born and raised in Switzerland and now I reside with my family in Denver, Colorado. I have always loved creating a warm and welcoming, beautiful home and have worked with furniture, colors, and lights. Many times I traveled to Asia and became enamored with the Eastern culture. I am a certified Feng Shui Consultant and am currently studying Geomancy/ Land Healing with Amanda Sophia and Alex Stark. I love my journey and made such a huge personal transformation in the last years because of my work as a Feng Shui consultant and my deepened spiritual practices. What made you decide to become a certified master in Feng Shui? Feng Shui is a wonderful ancient tool that follows my overarching philosophy to BALANCE YOUR HOME AND SOUL. Years ago, I started to implement Feng Shui into my own home. After experiencing tremendous positive changes, I fell in love with Feng Shui, and I wanted to help, harmonize and shift the energy flow in many other peoples homes. This is why I decided to study Feng Shui. What is your favorite part of being a Feng Shui consultant? I love to get an insight into people’s homes and lives and help them evoke and improve the overall well-being and quality of their lives. Sometimes it doesn’t need much to shift the energy in a home, but it will make a big difference and bring positive changes. What does a day in your life typically look like? I start my morning by lighting up some candles, sitting on my altar, and meditating. It is essential for me to start the day with ease, grounding with Mother Earth and connecting to my higher self and the universe. After my family gets up, we will have breakfast, and I will take the kids to school. Typically, I will start with my work at 9 am. Sometimes, after dropping off the kids, I drive directly to a client for a consultation or home clearing. Otherwise, I work from home, preparing consultations, having zoom- or phone- calls with clients. There is much more online work than meetings in person for the time being. Luckily, this isn’t a problem for my work as a Feng Shui consultant, and the quality of my work is not suffering. Besides that, I’m studying Geomancy/ Land Healing which takes some time each day. What would you say has been your proudest moment as a Feng Shui consultant? The proudest moments are when I can see that the life of my clients are changing positively, the energy is shifting, and new possibilities are coming up! This is wonderful and makes me happy. What do you think is the most important part of Feng Shui? I have to feel the energy, listen to clients, and make suggestions for remedies in their homes that are the most important for their lives. But to make my work complete, I believe that a deeply spiritual home clearing is essential. Are there any words of wisdom you would offer to someone interested in becoming a Feng Shui consultant? Feng Shui is a beautiful tool, and it is not just about moving a sofa or painting a wall a new color- it has many much deeper layers. If you are open to it and willing to invest time for your transformation and spiritual practices, it is right for you.
